Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent announced that the 149th 'Zad Al-Izza. From Egypt to Gaza' convoy, which entered Gaza on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, is carrying several trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian aid bound for the Gaza Strip, totaling around 1,850 tons of comprehensive humanitarian assistance. This comes as part of the Red Crescent's ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Red Crescent noted that the 149th convoy includes 1,850 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, consisting of food parcels, flour, relief supplies, and personal-care items, in addition to fuel to operate hospitals and vital facilities-supporting urgent basic needs inside the Strip.The Egyptian Red Crescent also intensified the delivery of essential winter supplies due to severe weather conditions, which included more than 13,200 mats, over 10,800 mattresses, and more than 2,310 tents to shelter those affected, as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts t o support people in Gaza.
