Rafah: A new group of Palestinian returnees arrived at Rafah border crossing in North Sinai on Sunday, June 14, 2026, as preparations continued for their return to Gaza Strip. An official at Rafah Crossing said that procedures were underway to process the new group before their departure to Gaza.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a team from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returnees at Rafah crossing, facilitating procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities, distributing "return kits," and providing psychological support to children. Egyptian Red Crescent teams were deployed at the Egyptian side of Rafah crossing to provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinian returnees.

Services included psychological support for children, family reunification assistance, the provision of warm clothing and personal care supplies, and the distribution of return kits to those heading back to Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are preparing to receive a new group of wounded and ill Palestinians from Gaza for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

Egypt's Ministry of Health has established a medical point at Rafah crossing to examine incoming patients, assess their conditions, and transfer them to Egyptian hospitals using fully equipped ambulances.
