Prime Minister Highlights Cultural and Religious Discourse as Key Development Strategies

Cairo:Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly asserted that culture and religious discourse are fundamental to the state's human development strategy, aligning with presidential directives.According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly emphasized the importance of an upcoming conference in addressing cultural, social, and religious issues that concern citizens. The conference aims to preserve national identity, promote social values and traditions, and combat negative societal practices.During a meeting with Awqaf Minister Osama Al-Azhari and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture Abdelaziz Konsowa, Madbouly outlined preparations for the conference, which has been called for by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and is scheduled for October. The event will review past achievements and explore future prospects across various sectors.Madbouly highlighted the need for the conference to address challenges facing cultural and religious outreach, identify solutions, an d propose implementation programs. This initiative aims to enhance the role of cultural institutions and improve the performance of religious platforms nationwide.Efforts to renew religious discourse are seen as a national priority, promoting tolerance and moderation, and addressing public misconceptions and rumors. The conference will also focus on nurturing young talent in creative and intellectual fields, leveraging Egypt's historic soft-power assets to strengthen its regional and international influence.The Prime Minister has called for open and transparent discussions during the conference, engaging intellectuals, religious scholars, and specialists to formulate actionable outcomes that strengthen social cohesion and meet the aspirations of Egyptian citizens.
