Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued Presidential Decree No. 342 of 2026 to renew the appointment of Magdy Ismail Mohamed Ismail as the CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA). This renewal places Ismail at the rank of minister for an additional year, effective from August 19. The decree was made public through its publication in the official Gazette.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the decision underscores the continued trust and reliance placed on Magdy Ismail's leadership within the Egyptian Space Agency. His role is pivotal for the strategic direction and operational execution of the agency's objectives.
