President Sisi Contacts Bahraini King, Expresses Solidarity with Kingdom

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had a phone call with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, following the Iranian aggression that targeted the territory of the kingdom.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Mohamed el Shennawy stated that President Sisi emphasized Egypt's full solidarity with Bahrain, both its leadership and people, stressing Egypt's categorical rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of Arab states or any infringement on their security and stability.

The President reiterated that such practices pose a serious threat to regional security and open the door to further escalation and chaos in the region. President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's firm position on the necessity of prioritizing political solutions and resorting to dialogue and diplomacy as the only way to overcome crises.

The President stressed that continued military escalation will only lead to further violence and bloodshed, which contradicts the aspirations of the region's peoples for security and development. For his part, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed appreciation for Egypt's supportive stance toward the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The monarch praised the close fraternal relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of joint Arab coordination to confront current challenges and preserve Arab national security.
