Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty; Advisor to the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan; as well as Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that President El-Sisi welcomed the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and asked for his greetings to be conveyed to his brother, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The President praised the efforts of the Saudi leadership toward development and prosperity in the Kingdom, emphasizing Egypt's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Saudi Arabia in different sectors. He expressed support for the organization of the first meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council and stressed the importance of intensified coordination on issues of mutual interest and regional crises.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan conveyed greetings and appreciation from King Salman and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President El-Sisi, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's dedication to maintaining strong relations with Egypt and enhancing political consultations between the two nations.

The meeting concentrated on regional issues of mutual concern, with both parties agreeing on the necessity for peaceful solutions to regional crises to maintain the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of states, particularly in Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and the Gaza Strip. President El-Sisi praised Saudi Arabia's efforts to host a comprehensive conference for dialogue among South Yemeni parties on the southern issue.
