Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed Zhu Gongshan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GCL, for a pivotal meeting attended by Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Concord EC Eng. Ahmed Elabd.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions centered on the prospects for collaboration between Egypt and the Chinese company in the renewable energy sector. A significant focus was placed on the potential for localizing renewable energy industries within Egypt. Zhu Gongshan emphasized Egypt's strategic geographic advantages, citing the nation's attractiveness for investment, its security and stability, and the favorable climate for solar energy production as key factors.
During the meeting, the Chairman also praised the Egyptian government's proactive measures to attract and encourage foreign investment in recent years, highlighting the country's commitment to becoming a hub for renewable energy initiatives.
