Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, to discuss ongoing regional developments. The discussion, which took place today, centered on the importance of collaborative regional and international efforts to curb the escalation in the Middle East and prevent further instability.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the spokesman for the Presidency, reported that President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s security and stability. He reiterated the necessity of shielding Iraq from regional conflicts and stressed Egypt’s unwavering support for the security of all Arab states. The President firmly rejected any attempts to infringe on their sovereignty or undermine their stability and territorial integrity.
The Iraqi Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Egypt’s supportive role in maintaining Iraq’s security and stability. He outlined the measures
undertaken by the Iraqi government to protect its sovereignty amidst the ongoing regional tensions. In their conversation, both leaders explored ways to enhance efforts for the security and stability of Arab states, agreeing on the necessity of continued consultation and coordination between their nations to support regional security.
