Cairo: Voters started casting their ballots at 9 am on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the individual seats for the canceled constituencies in the first round of the first phase of the parliamentary elections. A total of 19 constituencies are involved, in addition to a run-off for the same phase in the second constituency of Its a center in Fayyoum governorate.
According to State Information Service Egypt, police forces have been deployed to secure the polling stations and their surroundings, ensuring that voters can cast their votes in a safe environment. The election process is being monitored by numerous international organizations, including the Arab League, African Union, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Arab Electoral Management Organizations, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, in addition to local civil society organizations and both local and international media.
