Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli welcomed Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Saturday at Cairo International Airport. Salam arrived with a high-level official delegation to participate in the Egyptian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee meetings.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif el Sherbiny was present at the welcoming ceremony. An official ceremony was held for the Lebanese Prime Minister and his delegation, which included the playing of the national anthems of both Egypt and Lebanon.
The two Prime Ministers are set to engage in bilateral talks on Sunday, which will be followed by the 10th session of the Egyptian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee. The discussions will cover a range of issues and areas of mutual interest. Additionally, the session will see the signing of several memoranda of understanding and cooperation protocols in various fields. These efforts are part of the ongoing initiatives to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Lebanon in the coming period.
