Doha: Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly met with Eng. Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, to review the ministry's work files.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister of State for Military Production highlighted the ministry's efforts despite global challenges. He noted the focus on localising modern manufacturing technologies within its affiliated companies, developing standard products, and producing new items, either in cooperation with domestic or foreign counterparts or through its research centres.
During the meeting, the minister presented several work files, including performance indicators, new military and civilian products, and future projects. Under performance indicators, he discussed governance measures such as establishing a unified administration entity, rationalising expenditures, and optimising unused resources. The number of profitable companies increased from five in 2020/2021 to 17 in 2024/2025, with continuous profit growth and significant revenue increases from 2019 to 2025.
In terms of new military products, the minister showcased items such as the Rada' 300 multiple rocket launcher and the Sina 806 repair and rescue vehicle. For civilian products, he highlighted the production of submersible pumps and light vehicles like the "Cute" vehicle, a tuk-tuk alternative, in collaboration with an Indian company. The ministry has also made strides in electric bus production and converting diesel buses to natural gas.
The minister outlined future projects, including a solid waste recycling system, electric motors, and a water extraction station. The solid waste recycling line's design has been approved, with a production capacity of 40 tonnes per hour.
