PM Reviews Final Report on Media Development

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the importance attached to the outcomes and recommendations of the Supreme Committee for developing Egyptian media, which was formed upon presidential directives and includes prominent media figures. The committee worked over recent months to develop proposals aimed at enhancing the role, impact, and status of Egyptian media.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly made the remarks during his meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Khaled Abdel Aziz, who submitted the committee's final report ahead of its presentation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the committee members and the extensive discussions held within its eight subcommittees.

Abdel Aziz stated that the committee concluded its mission after more than 175 hours of work, producing an implementation-focused report that assesses the current state of Egyptian media, identifies key challenges, and proposes solutions. The recommendations focus on improving media content and policies, creating a supportive environment for media professionals, modernizing audience engagement, strengthening cultural and social awareness, reinforcing national identity, and boosting Egypt's media competitiveness at the regional and international levels.
