PM Reviews Final Preparations for Grand Egyptian Museum Inauguration

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting on Thursday evening to review final preparations for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), set to take place in November.According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority Ahmed Ghoneim, Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Affairs Yasser Shabaan, and others. During the talks, logistical arrangements were reviewed, including guest invitations, international delegations' accommodation and transportation, and the readiness of the museum's internal and external areas.Updates were provided on the construction progress of the promenade linking the museum to the Giza Pyramids and the surrounding infrastructure development. Madbouli also noted that the museum had received an international report on its carbon emissions, confirming its compliance with environmental standards.
