Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Egypt holds significant importance, as it is expected to enhance cooperation between the two nations across multiple sectors. Madbouly shared these insights during a meeting at the government's headquarters in the New Capital, aimed at reviewing the final preparations for President Xi's visit to Egypt.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by key figures including Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh, Presidential Adviser for Economic Affairs Hala El Said, and Presidential Adviser for Financial Affairs Ahmed El-Shazly. Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk participated via videoconference, along with officials from relevant ministries and government bodies.

Madbouly emphasized, "We have previously held a number of meetings to prepare for the Chinese President's visit, and today we are finalizing the arrangements for this important visit." He highlighted the role of the China Unit at the Cabinet in strengthening development and economic cooperation with China and explored proposed and potential areas for future collaboration, within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting also reviewed final preparations for President Xi's visit and various areas of cooperation and ongoing joint projects between Egypt and China. It underscored the importance of building on the positive outcomes and progress achieved in bilateral ties in recent years, which aim to support development efforts and increase investments.
