Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly reviewed progress on the redevelopment of Rashid's waterfront promenade during his visit to a number of development projects in Beheira Governorate.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly stated that the project is part of broader efforts to upgrade Nile waterfronts and preserve cities with historical and cultural significance, while improving public spaces and supporting tourism.
The promenade spans approximately 6 kilometers from the International Coastal Road to Rashid Fishing Port, linking several historical and heritage landmarks across the city. The project also includes the development of river marinas, public areas, and road infrastructure to enhance accessibility and visitor services.
Officials noted that the redevelopment is expected to improve the city's appearance, attract more visitors, and strengthen Rashid's position as one of Egypt's prominent heritage destinations.
