Cairo:Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has underscored the crucial role of Dar al-Iftaa in fostering sound religious awareness and promoting the principles of moderation and religious tolerance.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly commended the institution's extensive efforts, including plans to expand its branch network throughout the governorates and enhance the use of modern technological tools to improve communication with citizens and address their questions on religious and everyday issues.
During a meeting held on November 2, 2026, with Grand Mufti of Egypt Nazir Mohamed Ayyad at the government headquarters in the New Capital, Madbouly discussed various work-related topics. Ayyad highlighted the state's ongoing initiatives to renew religious discourse and strengthen national religious institutions by integrating artificial intelligence technologies to promote enlightened moderate thought.
Ayyad also elaborated on Dar al-Iftaa's plans to open new branches in South Sinai, North Sinai, and Port Said, aiming to extend the institution's religious advisory services and facilitate access to well-founded religious rulings rooted in moderation. This expansion seeks to enhance direct engagement with citizens, address their religious guidance needs, and align with their everyday realities, thereby promoting sound religious awareness and tolerance.
Furthermore, Ayyad announced the forthcoming launch of 'Haseen,' an international religious advisory reference platform. This initiative is part of Dar al-Iftaa's strategy to leverage modern digital tools to develop its religious advisory services, broaden access to authenticated Islamic knowledge, and strengthen its international presence. Haseen will provide a digital format of Egypt's religious advisory heritage, featuring more than 130 years of scholarly work, including over 10 million authenticated fatwas and a comprehensive knowledge database. The platform aims to serve researchers, students of Islamic studies, and anyone interested in religious knowledge worldwide, offering advanced search capabilities for accessing extensive scholarly resources.
