Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli emphasized the government's keenness to quickly resolve financial entanglements between government entities, especially service providers, to improve their financial capacity and service quality.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this came during a meeting Madbouli held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the presence of Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Sherif el Sherbiny, Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater Ahmed Gaber, and the company's deputy chairman Salah Bayoumi.

The meeting reviewed efforts to settle outstanding payments between water and sanitation companies and other government bodies as well as electricity distribution companies; to enhance operational efficiency.
