New york: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, met today with Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, in the presence of Mr. Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations in New York, and Ambassador Ihab Badawy, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Spain, during his participation in the Fourth United Nations Conference on Financing for Development on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly welcomed Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, reaffirming Egypt's ongoing support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights. He highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's efforts to reach a ceasefire and support the reconstruction of Gaza, emphasizing Egypt's commitment to the Palestinian cause until an independent sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital is established.

Dr. Madbouly inquired about the situation in the Palestinian territories, particularly in the West Bank, and confirmed Egypt's support for efforts by various parties to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people. He stressed the importance of preparing for a reconstruction conference once a ceasefire is reached and expressed his continued willingness to host the Palestinian Prime Minister.

The Egyptian Prime Minister also conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's greetings to President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine.

Dr. Mohammed Mustafa expressed gratitude for Egypt's support and President El-Sisi's efforts in the Palestinian cause and Gaza's reconstruction. He confirmed the ongoing reconstruction support despite recent challenges and mentioned efforts by several countries to hold an international peace conference in New York. Dr. Mustafa also reviewed the Palestinian government's initiatives to engage with international parties to support Palestinian rights.

The meeting concluded with Dr. Mustafa conveying greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
