PM Madbouly Announces Egypt Clears All Dues to Foreign Energy Partners

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly announced that Egypt has successfully settled all outstanding payments owed to its foreign partners in the petroleum and natural gas sector. This development was met with positive responses from international companies and financial institutions, as it is seen as a significant step in enhancing investor confidence and improving Egypt's investment climate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly highlighted during a press conference on Saturday that the final installment was paid on June 10, effectively reducing the arrears to zero. This achievement underscores Egypt's dedication to meeting its financial commitments to investors and international partners, despite facing economic and regional challenges over the past two years.

Madbouly further emphasized that the repayment plan was closely monitored by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, ensuring its successful implementation. This strategic move is expected to bolster Egypt's standing in the global energy market and attract further investments into the country's growing energy sector.
