PM Inspects Progress of Development Works Near Grand Egyptian Museum

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Saturday 13/9/2025 inspected the final touches of the ongoing development works in the areas surrounding the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). He emphasized the state's commitment to turning the museum's environs into a cultural and touristic landmark, enhancing visual aesthetics, improving accessibility, and offering visitors a unique experience.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during his inspection tour, Madbouli said that the government has already upgraded all major roads leading to the GEM and the Pyramids Plateau, creating an integrated network that ensures smooth access. The premier began his tour at the "New Statue Area" located at the entrance of the Cairo-Alexandria Road leading to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where officials explained that the statue was designed and executed under the supervision of Tarek Sobhi, the project consultant, as part of the broader development of the museum's surroundings.

Madbouli also inspected Hazem Hassan Tunnel area in Al Remaaya Square, Fayoum Road, Officers' housing street, Museum-Dokki ring road extension, as well as Cairo-Alexandria desert road section.
