Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly inspected the 'Ahlan Bel Eid' fair in the Gamaliya district of Cairo, which was organized by Cairo Governorate in cooperation with the Supply Ministry ahead of Eid al Adha.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of Supply Sherif Farouk stated that the fairs aim to provide essential goods and food products at reduced prices to ease pressure on families during the holiday season. He mentioned that the ministry has increased supplies of meat, poultry, oil, sugar, rice, pasta, and other basic commodities through exhibitions and retail outlets across the country, with discounts reaching 25% on many products.
The minister noted that more than 1,060 outlets affiliated with the Holding Company for Food Industries are being supplied regularly, in addition to around 40,000 ration outlets and retail points nationwide. For his part, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber said that the fair includes more than 80 companies and national entities offering a wide range of products, including fresh and frozen meat, vegetables, fruits, and grocery items at discounted prices.
Officials also confirmed continued market monitoring and inspection campaigns during the Eid period to ensure product availability and price stability.
