PM Hails Egyptian-Finnish Partnership as Model for Sustainable Development

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly affirmed on April 21, 2026, that Egypt places green transformation at the heart of its priorities, drawing on Finnish expertise in the green economy, clean energy, water, digitalization, information technology, as well as education and healthcare.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly highlighted the cooperation between Egypt and Finland, which includes initiatives in green hydrogen and water desalination projects. He noted the partnership's role in supporting industrial growth by leveraging Egypt's workforce and strengthening trade agreements with Africa to benefit millions.

Madbouly emphasized the Egyptian government's commitment to being an effective partner. He assured that the government would not only act as a regulator but also support investors, resolve challenges, and ensure the success and sustainability of projects in Egypt.

The Prime Minister remarked that the Finnish president's visit signifies a pivotal moment in bilateral relations and expressed hope that the forum will serve as a catalyst for a stronger partnership and a better future for both countries.
