Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting to review progress in service and development projects in New Valley (El Wadi el Gedid) Governorate. The meeting was attended by ministers of irrigation, electricity, and agriculture, along with the governor of New Valley and senior officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed el-Homsani stated that the talks addressed infrastructure, agriculture, and public service efforts across the governorate. He highlighted that the Central Agency for Reconstruction has undertaken 82 projects in the governorate, located in southwestern Egypt, since 2014.
These initiatives include 25 road projects covering 1,000 kilometers, 45 utility and service projects, and 12 housing projects comprising a total of 2,408 units. Out of these, 62 projects have been completed, including 2,216 housing units and 745 kilometers of roads.
The discussion also explored the governorate's efforts in expanding agriculture, drilling wells, establishing fish farming projects, and utilizing local lakes.
