PM: Egypt to Apply Remote Work System for 1 Month


Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced that a remote work system will be implemented in both the public and private sectors starting from the first Sunday of April for one month. The initiative aims to reduce energy and fuel consumption across the country.



According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli revealed during a press conference, which was attended by several ministers, that the system will incorporate one remote working day per week across most sectors. However, he clarified that essential services such as factories, water, gas, and sanitation services, along with hospitals, schools, and universities, will be excluded from this initiative.



The Prime Minister emphasized that the primary goal of this measure is to lower energy usage while ensuring that regular operations continue uninterrupted in critical sectors.
