Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed Egypt's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Russian Federation across various sectors. During his meeting Tuesday with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly welcomed Cairo's hosting of the second ministerial meeting of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum in November 2025, which he said would foster trilateral cooperation between Egypt, Russia, and African nations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Cabinet Spokesman Mohamed El Homosany stated that the talks reviewed the outcomes of the summit between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow last May. Discussions included cooperation in areas such as the Russian Industrial Zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the Dabaa nuclear power plant, as well as energy, tourism, transport, water desalination, agriculture, food security, and mining.

Homosany added that Overchuk stressed his country's interest in advancing the Russian Industrial Zone project and voiced keenness to boost cooperation with Egypt in trade, industry, agriculture, energy, food processing, tourism, and logistics.
