Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly: Thursday 2/10/2025 directed the enhancement of mechanisms for monitoring urgent medical appeals, particularly those requiring immediate intervention, and ensuring an effective response in collaboration with relevant authorities.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly issued the directives during a meeting held to follow up on efforts of the Cabinet's medical committee for appeals and review a report submitted by Hossam Masry, the Prime Minister's Medical Advisor and committee chairman, covering the third quarter of 2025.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly commended the committee's efforts during the third quarter of 2025, highlighting its vital role in effectively monitoring medical appeals and promptly delivering a range of health services to citizens across all governorates.
Throughout Q3 2025, the committee has ensured a rapid and effective response to people, with 3,307 medical appeals being monitored and responded to via WhatsApp, media outlets, and various social media platforms, with immediate action taken, according to the report. As many as 626 decisions were issued by the prime minister for treatment at the expense of the state, while medical procedures were provided for 146 cases requiring treatment via CyberKnife and Gamma Knife.
The report showed that 114 decisions were issued for half-match bone marrow transplants, and 117 decisions were issued by the Prime Minister specifically for emergency cases as well as securing medication in response to 309 appeals.
A total of 249 cases received artificial limbs and prosthetic devices, while medical examinations were conducted for 11,794 citizens through the committee's medical convoys in several governorates, including Giza, Minya, and New Valley, in coordination with NGOs.
