Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli congratulated Egypt's Dr. Khaled El-Enany on his election as the new Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), following a vote held on Monday evening by the organization's Executive Board at its headquarters in Paris.According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli stated that this historic victory marks a new milestone for Egypt within international organizations, reaffirming the broad confidence in the competence of Egyptian expertise at the Arab, regional, and international levels, and their proven ability to deliver tangible achievements and make a lasting impact.The prime minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to El-Enany, expressing confidence in his success in carrying out the responsibilities of his new international post. He stressed that the appointment crowns a distinguished national career defined by unwavering dedication, integrity, and visionary leadership.Madbouli noted that El -Enany made remarkable achievements during his tenure as Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, leaving a lasting mark on national efforts to preserve and promote the country's rich heritage and universal cultural legacy. He expressed full confidence that El-Enany's leadership of UNESCO will mark a turning point in advancing the organization's humanitarian mission to safeguard global heritage, promote sustainable development, and uphold the universal right to education, knowledge, and creativity."I have worked closely with Dr. Khaled El-Enany for many years and have witnessed his professionalism and dedication firsthand," Madbouli said.
