PM Attends Signing Ceremony of First Rixos Project at Cairo’s WTC

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing of the agreement for the Rixos and Rixos Living - Cairo World Trade Center (WTC) project between the Cairo World Trade Center Company and Rixos Hospitality Egypt, marking the first entry of the Rixos brand into Cairo with a combined hotel and residential concept.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the signing ceremony was attended by Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Hassan el-Khatib, Nasser Abdel Latif, Chairman of Latif Group, Gaurav Bhushan, CEO of Ennismore Lifestyle and Entertainment brands at Accor, and other officials.

Madbouly stated that the project with a global hospitality partner will maximize the potential of Downtown Cairo, boost inbound tourism, increase hotel room capacity, and create a distinctive visitor experience.

The project will be developed in phases starting in 2027, becoming Rixos' first property in the heart of Cairo. It will redevelop the iconic World Trade Center into a dynamic urban destination featuring modern lifestyle facilities, including a fully managed Rixos shopping mall, combining a contemporary hotel and Rixos Living serviced residences.

Located along the Nile Corniche, the development will offer panoramic Nile views and proximity to major cultural landmarks, including the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids, with easy access to Cairo International Airport and the central business district.

The project will consist of two towers on large podiums with social, wellness, and dining facilities for hotel guests, residents, and the local community. Upon completion, it will feature more than 364 units, including 176 hotel rooms and 188 serviced residences. The south tower, opening in 2027, will be dedicated to Rixos Living, while the north tower, opening in 2028, will include hotel rooms and additional serviced apartments.

The Cairo World Trade Center is a city landmark and a historic regional hub for international conferences, trade fairs, and major events, ensuring strong and sustainable corporate demand year-round.

The integrated mixed-use complex will include office towers, exhibition and conference facilities, and a fully redeveloped shopping center, also operated by Rixos, providing an urban destination for business travelers, long-stay residents, and leisure visitors alike.
