Luanda: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, representing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, participated in the opening session of the African Union's extraordinary Summit focused on enhancing conflict prevention and resolution mechanisms in Africa.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Summit, hosted by Angola, is taking place at the Luanda Conference Center in the Angolan capital. The session saw the participation of Mohamed Abu Bakr, Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, and Nevine El-Husseiny, Egypt's Ambassador to Angola. The event was graced by the presence of Angolan President Joo Louren§o, Burundian President and African Union Chairperson €š¬°variste Ndayishimiye, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, along with several African heads of state and government.

The session began with the playing of the national anthem of Angola and the African Union's anthem. Key speeches were delivered by Louren§o, Youssouf, and Ndayishimiye, focusing on supporting and strengthening peace, security, and development across Africa. The opening session concluded with a group photograph of African heads of state and government, accompanied by African Union Commission officials present at the extraordinary summit.
