PM Attends Inking of Cooperation Protocols to Establish New Applied Technology Schools

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, attended the signing ceremony of cooperation protocols to establish 89 applied technology schools through partnerships between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and a number of local entities and Italian academies. The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, along with other ministers.

According to State Information Service Egypt, on Monday, the education minister signed a number of cooperation protocols with the Italian side to establish 10 applied technology schools and additional protocols to launch 89 more in various specializations. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attaches great importance to education and technical education, which has had a significant impact on keeping pace with contemporary needs, meeting labor market demands, and achieving a qualitative leap, Abdel Latif said.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Abdel Latif mentioned that the applied technology schools initiative is a key result of cooperation between Egypt and Italy, serving as a fundamental pillar supporting the launch of this pioneering model. He emphasized that this event marks the first of its kind in terms of launching such a large number of applied technology schools under the Egyptian-Italian partnership.

The ministry has achieved considerable progress in establishing new schools, which reflects its commitment to advancing technical education and applied technology, the minister stated. Meanwhile, Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara affirmed that Italy is working on strengthening educational systems aligned with labor market requirements. He noted that the signing of these protocols between his ministry, local entities, and several Italian academies represents a crucial step in enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the field of technical education.
