Cairo: Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom met with IFC North Africa and Horn of Africa Director Ari Naeem to discuss strengthening cooperation and supporting Egypt's private sector. The meeting focused on accelerating private-sector participation in national projects, particularly in energy, water, and infrastructure, while also developing regulatory and legislative frameworks to attract both domestic and foreign investment.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Naeem highlighted Egypt's growth opportunities and expressed IFC's readiness to provide technical, advisory, and financial support for infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships, and entrepreneurship. He emphasized the importance of creating an environment conducive to investment and innovation in these sectors.

The discussions between Rostom and Naeem concluded with an agreement to maintain coordination between their respective entities. This coordination aims to turn the proposed areas of cooperation into practical programs that will support economic growth and job creation in Egypt. The collaboration is expected to pave the way for enhanced private sector involvement, which is crucial for the country's sustainable development goals.
