Madrid: House of Representatives Speaker Hanafi el Gebali congratulated House Deputy Mohamed Abul Einean for winning the chairmanship of the parliamentary assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PAUfM).According to State Information Service Egypt, during a session of the parliamentary assembly of the union in Spain, Abul Einean was unanimously elected as speaker of PAUfM. This marks the first time in 15 years that Egypt has chaired the parliamentary assembly.Gebali emphasized that holding such a position highlights the pivotal role and status Egypt occupies on the international stage. It also signifies the appreciation that Egyptian parliamentary diplomacy enjoys at international parliamentary forums. Gebali expressed his best wishes for Abul Einean's success in his new role.
