Amman: The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Farsin Aghabekian Shahin, engaged in discussions with her Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel-Aty, focusing on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territory and strategies to enhance joint coordination. This meeting took place on the sidelines of a gathering of foreign ministers from Arab member states of the Arab Ministerial Committee, which is dedicated to addressing illegal Israeli policies in Jerusalem.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Minister Shaheen emphasized the Palestinian leadership's commitment to ensuring the resilience of the Palestinian people on their land and countering displacement plans. She urged Arab and Islamic countries to undertake concrete actions to influence the American administration's stance, thereby supporting the legitimate national rights and interests of the Palestinian people.

The dialogue between the two ministers also covered the ongoing situation in the occupied Palestinian territory. They agreed on the importance of developing and enhancing joint coordination and communication to bolster Arab and international efforts aimed at halting acts of violence and displacement, protecting Palestinian rights, and strengthening the Palestinian political stance.

Minister Abdel-Aty reiterated Egypt's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting the unity of Palestinian territories and the urgent need for the Palestinian government to assume responsibilities in the Gaza Strip. He expressed Egypt's firm opposition to Israeli plans to separate Gaza from the West Bank, viewing it as a significant threat to Egyptian national security.
