Riyadh: The Muslim World League has voiced its strong condemnation and outright rejection of the E1 settlement plan and related settlement activities in occupied East Jerusalem.According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the League's General Secretariat issued a statement where His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, condemned the plan, describing it as a threat to the realization of an independent Palestinian state. He criticized all illegal Israeli settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory and denounced the support and protection of violations and acts of violence committed by settlers against the Palestinian people and their property. The statement highlighted that these actions are part of an ongoing Israeli approach that contravenes international laws and resolutions, undermining peace efforts.Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by stopping all acts of violence, violations, settlement policies, and measures that alter the geographic and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory. He acknowledged the statement made by the foreign ministers of several nations, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt. These countries have shown firm solidarity with the Palestinian people, supporting their legitimate rights, particularly the right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. This stance aligns with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, viewed as the only pathway to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
