Ministry of Petroleum Denies Egyptian Link to Gas Carrier Incident Off Libyan Coast

Cairo: The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has categorically denied any Egyptian connection to the gas carrier involved in an accident off the Libyan coast. According to State Information Service Egypt, the Ministry's statement was received by the State Ministry for Information, which underscores the importance of accurate reporting. The Ministry for Information has urged both Egyptian and international media outlets to correct any inaccurate reports about the incident and to adhere to professional standards when conveying information to audiences at home and abroad.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources emphasized that the misinformation being circulated about the liquefied natural gas carrier is entirely false. It called on media outlets to verify information using official sources to avoid confusion and misinformation. Additionally, the Ministry stated that it would take legal action, both domestically and internationally, against those spreading false information that could harm Egypt's national interests.
