Cairo: Ministry of Interior announced on Friday 13/2/2026 that all inmates in correctional and rehabilitation centers will be granted two exceptional visits in observance of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Ministry stated that the decision is part of ongoing efforts to uphold human values and strengthen the bonds between inmates and their families during significant religious occasions.

By providing opportunities for inmates to share the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month with their loved ones, the Ministry aims to offer psychological and social support. Such initiatives are viewed as vital to the rehabilitation process, facilitating a smoother eventual reintegration into society.
