Ministry of Industry Launches Investor Support Service via Mobile Application

Cairo: The Ministry of Industry has officially launched an investor support service designed to streamline communication between investors and the Ministry of Industry, along with its affiliated entities. This service, aimed at facilitating the investor experience, is accessible through a mobile application compatible with both Android and iOS systems, allowing users to download it from the App Store.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the application has been integrated with various ministries and authorities that comprise the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development. These include the Ministries of Environment, Military Production, Electricity and Renewable Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and several others, as well as the Central Bank and the National Food Safety Authority. This integration helps in addressing investors' requests and complaints effectively by coordinating with the relevant authorities.

Kamel El-Wazir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development Affairs and Minister of Industry and Transport, has emphasized the importance of connecting the system for handling investor requests and complaints to a unified electronic platform. This initiative is aimed at reducing the time and effort investors spend on these processes. Since the establishment of the Investor Service and Support Unit, approximately 2,382 complaints and requests have been logged, with 604 being fully resolved. Moreover, 992 investors have received guidance and advice on resolving their concerns.

The mobile application enables investors to submit complaints or inquiries directly to the Investor Service and Support Unit. Upon submission, investors receive a notification that their complaint has been forwarded to the appropriate ministry or authority. Once a response is received from the relevant authority, it is communicated to the investor through the application. Additionally, investors have the option to send a follow-up request if there is a delay in receiving a response.
