Cairo: Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil affirmed on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the ministry's commitment to expanding cooperation with national institutions to support comprehensive development and improve public services in line with the political leadership's directives to build effective partnerships under the New Republic. The remarks came during a meeting with Senator Mohamed Shabana, Chairman of the Journalists Club, as part of regular consultations aimed at strengthening cooperation between state institutions and enhancing the role of professional and community organizations.According to State Information Service Egypt, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the continuation of the Journalists Club's development plan to upgrade its sports and social facilities in line with the state's vision for modernizing infrastructure and transforming them into integrated service centers for members and their families. They also discussed mechanisms for the Ministry o f Youth and Sports to support investment projects at the club to strengthen its self-generated resources and ensure the sustainability of its development plans. The two sides agreed to establish permanent institutional communication channels to facilitate the implementation of joint projects and programs.The meeting also tackled the draft Sports Care and Investment Fund Law, which aims to provide sustainable support for retired athletes, safeguard their rights, and benefit from their expertise in serving Egyptian sports while promoting sports investment. The two sides further exchanged views on initiatives designed to promote national awareness among young people and strengthen the values of belonging, responsibility, and knowledge in line with the ministry's strategy to prepare a generation capable of contributing effectively to Egypt's comprehensive development drive.
