Cairo: Dr Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, has expressed his support for the senior national football team as they prepare to travel to Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations. Eng. Hani Abou Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association, was also present during this endorsement.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister met with the team's coaching staff and players, checking on their technical and physical preparations. He conveyed his full confidence in their ability to represent Egypt honourably and achieve results that reflect the history of Egyptian football. Dr Sobhy highlighted that the entire nation stands behind the team, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline and effort both on and off the field to make Egyptian supporters proud.

Eng. Hani Abou Rida appreciated the minister's commitment to supporting the team before their departure. He noted that the visit provided a significant moral boost for the players and coaching staff, demonstrating the state's support for the national team.

The national team is set to depart for Morocco in the coming hours to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations.
