Luanda: Engineer Mohamed Shaimi, the Minister of Public Business Sector, has travelled to the Angolan capital Luanda to participate in the 17th edition of the US-Africa Business Summit, which takes place from 22 to 25 June. This participation is part of Egypt's involvement in the summit, which will see high-level attendance from various heads of state, governments, and ministers from the African side, alongside senior officials from the US government. The minister is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with government officials and representatives of major companies and international institutions taking part, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and expanding partnership horizons.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the summit is organized by the African Business Council and is one of the most important annual economic forums held on the continent, rotating between an African country and the United States. It features the participation of executives from major American and African private sector companies, investors, and businesspeople. The sessions of the 2025 Summit will address a wide range of opportunities available to enhance trade, investment, and economic relations between the United States and Africa.

This year's edition is held under the theme: "Paths to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for Partnership between the United States and Africa," aimed at boosting economic exchange, increasing trade rates, and expanding investment, focusing on several sectors including infrastructure, health, mining, energy, agriculture, and technology.
