Minister of Planning Represents Egypt at G-24 Ministerial Meeting

Washington: Dr Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, delivered Egypt's official address at the G-24 ministerial meeting during her participation in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank sessions. The G-24 focuses on international monetary affairs and development, where significant global economic issues are discussed among member countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Director of the International Monetary Fund praised the initiatives led by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi aimed at fostering peace in the Middle East. A highlight mentioned was the global summit initiated by el-Sisi, with the participation of President Donald Trump and various world leaders, to address the conflict in Gaza.

Furthermore, the International Monetary Fund acknowledged the Egyptian government's efforts in recent years to strengthen macroeconomic stability through a series of economic and structural reforms. Al-Mashat expressed appreciation for the ongoing discussions within the G-24 and the proactive measures taken by international institutions to reform the global financial system. She emphasized the development of the World Bank, aimed at enhancing its capacity as the largest multilateral development bank, to boost job creation and facilitate development driven by the private sector.
