Military Production Ministry Showcases Advanced Defense Systems at World Defense Show 2026

Riyadh: The Ministry of Military Production is actively participating in the third edition of the World Defense Show (WDS 2026), commencing on Monday, February 9, 2026, under the patronage of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event will continue until Thursday, featuring cutting-edge military products.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of State for Military Production Mostafa Salah El Din announced that the ministry's pavilion at the expo highlights a variety of its latest products. These include advanced weapons, ammunition, and defense systems developed by military production companies utilizing the latest global technologies. Among the showcased innovations are the 'Deterrence 300' tracked multi-caliber guided rocket launcher, the 'Sinai 806' repair and recovery vehicle, the upgraded 'Rada'a 300 200' rocket launcher, and armored steel. Egypt's capacity to produce armored steel positions it as one of only six countries worldwide with such capabilities.

El Din stressed the importance of the Ministry's consistent participation in the exhibition since its inception in 2022, reflecting the strong Egyptian-Saudi cooperation across multiple sectors. The World Defense Show serves as a vital platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing technological capabilities, drawing leaders, decision-makers, and experts from the global defense industry.

The biennial event, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), aims to gather global defense and security leaders to explore integrated solutions and the future of operational interoperability across land, sea, air, space, and cybersecurity domains. This year's edition emphasizes innovations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and energy, expecting around 925 exhibitors from 80 countries and 130,000 visitors over an exhibition area of 800,000 square meters.
