Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gamblat discussed with Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber and his accompanying delegation areas of joint cooperation. The meeting reviewed the executive status of a project to convert 2,262 buses to operate on natural gas instead of diesel for the Cairo Public Transport Authority, the minister said, noting that the first and second phases were completed, while work on the third phase is currently under way.According to State Information Service Egypt, the talks also followed up the latest developments related to the electronic pre-payment fare collection project for buses of the Cairo Public Transport Authority. For his part, the Cairo governor praised the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production across several fields through benefiting from the capabilities and resources of its affiliated companies and units and contributing to advancing the governorate's plan to improve performance and maximize the use of available local resour ces.The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the National Authority for Military Production Tarek Bekheit along with a number of officials from the ministry and the authority.
