Madbouly Emphasizes Quick Settlement of Government Dues to NUCA

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed on Sunday, July 19, 2026, the status of outstanding government payments owed to the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The Prime Minister also stressed the need for their swift settlement to support the authority's development plans and ongoing urban expansion projects.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly noted that accelerating the payment of the authority's dues by government Ministries and agencies would help it meet its development objectives and continue implementing strategic projects. Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed El-Homsani said that the meeting reviewed NUCA's financial stand and the status of outstanding receivables from government entities.

Officials also examined the authority's expenditures on land transfers and public service facilities handed over to relevant agencies in new cities, in coordination with the finance and planning ministries. The meeting also reviewed projects financed by NUCA and assessed its projected cash flow for the July-December 2026 period, including expected revenues and expenditures.

Homsani said the authority is currently working with the finance and planning ministries to resolve outstanding financial obligations between NUCA and government entities. The discussions also covered ways to strengthen the authority's financial resources and the funding status of ongoing projects.

Madbouly concluded the meeting by directing officials to follow up on agreed measures to expedite the settlement of NUCA's outstanding dues related to a number of projects.
