Labor Minister Visits Fresh Electric, Signs Youth Training Agreement

Badr City:Labor Minister Hassan Raddad emphasized the state's commitment to supporting and protecting workers, describing them as essential to production and development during his visit to Fresh Electric for Home Appliances.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Raddad's visit on October 11, 2026, was part of efforts to implement President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to support domestic industry, investment, and social protection for workers. He toured the company's production lines, engaged with workers, and encouraged them to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian products.

The visit also included a briefing from Fresh Electric's Chairman Khalil Ibrahim Khalil and senior executives on the company's operations, production, export plans, and training initiatives. Raddad reviewed the ministry's efforts to modernize vocational training in line with Labor Law No. 14 of 2025 and improve the business environment through the Investor Facilitation Unit.

A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a cooperation protocol between the ministry and Fresh Electric to develop vocational training programs. These programs focus on electrical and electronic appliance maintenance, refrigeration and air conditioning, sales and marketing, and after-sales services. The agreement includes establishing training workshops and preparing young people for international employment opportunities.

The three-year protocol includes curriculum development, trainer qualification, joint training programs, and job fairs to connect graduates with employers. Raddad highlighted this partnership as a model of cooperation between the government and the private sector.

Fresh Electric Chairman Khalil Ibrahim Khalil emphasized the company's commitment to expanding production and investing in technical workforce development. The protocol was signed by Eng Yasmine Mamdouh Hassan for the Labor Ministry and Eng Raymond Wassef for Fresh Electric.
