Irrigation Minister Commends Employees on Labour Day for Water Management Efforts

Cairo: Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Dr. Hani Sewilam extended his gratitude to the employees of the ministry nationwide in commemoration of Labour Day, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to public service and contributions to national development.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Sewilam praised the staff for their professionalism in managing Egypt's extensive water network, which includes 55,000 kilometers of canals and more than 50,000 structures. Despite facing challenges such as water scarcity, the minister noted their continued efforts to maintain an efficient water system. He also highlighted initiatives aimed at improving staff welfare, which include enhanced resource management, comprehensive training programs, and structural reforms.

Dr. Sewilam further emphasized the ministry's preparedness during the peak water demand season. He reaffirmed the ministry's dedication to meeting water needs and effectively addressing any violations on waterways, ensuring a stable and reliable water supply across the nation.
