Kigali: Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam and Rwanda's Minister of Environment Bernadette Arakwiye, along with Hanan Shaheen, Egypt's Ambassador to Rwanda and a ministerial delegation, visited the Nyandungu Eco-Park in Kigali.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the nature reserve is recognized as a leading example in the restoration of urban ecosystems and the application of nature-based solutions. During their visit, the officials examined the various components of the reserve, which has been transformed into a comprehensive ecological system aimed at enhancing urban environmental management.
The Nyandungu Eco-Park supports biodiversity and contributes to the sustainability and resilience of cities, particularly in addressing the challenges posed by climate change. The visit highlighted the importance of such ecological initiatives in fostering environmental sustainability.
