Alamein:Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh met with President of the Trade and Development Bank Group (TDB) Admassu Tadesse to discuss strengthening cooperation in trade and investment financing. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the Alamein Africa Forum.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting included participants such as the heads of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the Commercial Representation Service, the Export Development Authority, and the Sovereign Fund.
The discussions focused on utilizing financing instruments offered by the TDB Group to support Egyptian companies in various sectors and aid exporters aiming to expand into African markets. They also explored financing mechanisms for non-bank financial institutions.
Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing communication between TDB Group and Egypt's business community. This would involve coordinating with export councils and relevant authorities to identify the needs of Egyptian companies and projects expanding into African markets.
The dialogue underscored the significance of ongoing coordination to explore priority cooperation areas, aiming to boost the participation of Egyptian companies in African markets and bolster trade and investment ties between Egypt and other African nations.
