Cairo: Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem announced the preparation of a comprehensive strategy aimed at developing the industrial sector. This strategy builds on previous plans and reflects the ministry's vision for the sector's future.According to State Information Service Egypt, the strategy is being developed in collaboration with the Egyptian company Dcode, known for its expertise in economic and financial consultancy. Dcode has previously worked with the ministry on Egypt's industrial strategy in 2016. The ministry, along with its affiliated bodies, is committed to providing Dcode with all necessary data to assess the current state of the industrial sector.The announcement was made during a meeting with senior ministry officials and representatives from Dcode Consulting to review the progress of the new industrial strategy. Minister Hashem emphasized that the strategy will guide the ministry's work and provide a roadmap for its various sectors.The strategy aims to establish clear objectives and me asurable performance indicators, allowing the ministry to adopt a proactive, strategically planned approach to industrial development. Key considerations include institutional and environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and advancing the transition toward a green economy.The strategy also aims to enhance the role of the ministry's affiliated bodies, particularly the Industrial Development Authority, in supporting the sector's growth and empowering the private sector. Additionally, the ministry plans to activate its technological centers to optimize local raw materials, promote innovation, and support modern manufacturing technologies.Minister Hashem affirmed the ministry's commitment to being a genuine partner to industrial investors throughout their investment journey, from project establishment to operation, production, and export to international markets.
