Barcelona: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat is scheduled to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from March 3 to 6, 2025, as per a Cabinet statement on Sunday.According to State Information Service Egypt, the three-day event, organised by the GSM Association (GSMA), is the largest annual global gathering of stakeholders in the communications and information technology industry. The conference and exhibition will bring together over 100,000 attendees, 2,700 exhibitors, decision-makers, experts, international organisations, leading technology companies, and innovators from around the world.On the sidelines of the conference, Talaat is scheduled to hold several meetings with ministers, senior officials from major global telecommunications and technology companies, and representatives of international organisations. These discussions will focus on collaboration in the fields of communications and information technology, as well as investment opportunities in Egypt.This year, the MWC will explore a range of key topics, including the governance of responsible artificial intelligence (AI), energy efficiency in networks, and advancements in quantum computing and 5G technologies.
